Description

In this beginning class students will learn the history and basics of blacksmithing.

  • Safety
  • Anvils- You will learn the different types, brands and what to look for in purchasing an anvil.
  • Forge- The different types of forges will be discussed. A gas forge is used in this class.
  • Tools- What tools are needed and where you can find them.

All materials are provided and students will learn basic techniques that include:

  • Drawing out
  • Twisting

Refunds may be given when at least a week notice is given. If less than a week notice, the class fee may be transferred to another time.
